Our Partners

Partners in building
what endures

Proactive Doorstep Care is built on partnership. No single organization can strengthen a health system alone.

Our work is made possible by four interconnected partners: the communities that shape and trust the system, the government that co-owns and integrates it, research partners who strengthen its evidence base and donors who invest in long-term systems change.

We are grateful to the foundations, institutions, and individual supporters who share our belief that the best investment is one that ultimately becomes unnecessary, helping build a health system that continues to serve families long after a grant has ended.

GOVERNMENT
Co-owner and mandate holder

The Ministry of Health and District Health Management Teams are core partners in Proactive Doorstep Care, co-managing the system, integrating its data into DHIS2, and progressively increasing government ownership and financing. This partnership ensures the system can be sustained and continue serving families long after external funding ends.

FUNDERS
Investors in System Change

Our funding partners invest in the long-term strengthening of maternal and child health systems. Their support enables us to build the infrastructure, workforce, and operational systems needed to ensure care reaches families early, continuously, and in time.

RESEARCH
Research & Learning Partners

Our research and academic partners help transform operational learning into rigorous evidence that strengthens Proactive Doorstep Care and informs the broader global health sector. Together, we generate the knowledge needed to improve, replicate, and scale effective last-mile health systems.

COMMUNITIES
Shaping the System from the Inside

Village leaders, community-selected health workers, traditional birth attendants, and families are at the heart of Proactive Doorstep Care. They help build trust, shape how the system works and ensure it remains responsive to local needs.

Without community trust and ownership, even the strongest health system cannot reach the households it is designed to serve.

The Partnerships that make the System possible

Proactive Doorstep Care is built on a network of essential partnerships. Communities create trust and ownership. Government provides integration and sustainability. Research partners strengthen learning and evidence. Funders provide the resources needed to build and scale the system.

Each partner plays a distinct role. Together, they make it possible for care to reach families early, continuously, and in time. Without any one of them, the system cannot be fully built, trusted, sustained or scaled.

The organisations
building with us

Our funding partners help build the foundations of Proactive Doorstep Care, from Community Health Worker networks and clinical services to referral systems and government integration. Their investment supports the long-term systems that will continue serving families into the future.

Together, we are building a health system designed to last beyond any single grant or funding cycle.

Implementing Partners

We partner with peer organization to implement our programs effectively in the communities we serve.
