General Population
Our commitment to health equity goes beyond targeting specific groups, we serve the entire community. While our programs prioritize pregnant women, children and adolescents, we recognize that the health of a community is only as strong as its most underserved members. That is why we extend our care to reach everyone in need, regardless of age, gender or status.

Through our Proactive Doorstep Care (PDC) model, we deliver essential health services to entire households, screening for common illnesses, promoting disease prevention, supporting chronic disease management and ensuring timely referrals. Whether someone is seeking care for hypertension, needs counseling on nutrition or hygiene or simply has questions about their health, Wandikweza ensures that no one is turned away.

In rural Malawi, where formal healthcare systems often fall short, our model bridges the gap by bringing compassionate, consistent and community-rooted care to the last mile. We build trust with communities, respond to emerging health needs and provide support during crises, ensuring that every person has access to healthcare as a basic human right, not a privilege.

Crisis Response for Every Household
During floods, droughts or disease outbreaks, Wandikweza responds rapidly, not just to specific vulnerable groups, but to entire communities.
Our mobile teams provide medical care, distribute emergency supplies and offer health education tailored to the crisis at hand. Every member of the affected household is considered because everyone matters in a humanitarian emergency.
Crisis Response for Every Household
Wandikweza understands that true health goes beyond medical care, it is shaped by access to food, water, shelter, safety and opportunity.
Our Community Health Workers address these broader needs through education, community dialogue and support services, creating healthier, more resilient communities from the ground up.
Building Community Trust
One of our greatest strengths is the trust we build at the household level. Whether it is a father receiving information about diabetes, a grandmother learning how to support her grandchildren’s nutrition or a young man receiving STI education, our work is grounded in relationship, respect and listening. We do not just deliver health care, we accompany people on their health journeys.
